Week 80... His Work and His Glory.

This week has been an okay week. We are really trying to help our ward grow and re-establish itself. It kinda crashed for a while, haha, but it's now on the upward slope which is way good!! We are working close with Bishop, and soon the ward mission leader. The vision is focusing on helping them set up the home and visiting teaching to bring everyone back asap. When that starts, going, finding, and fellowshipping investigators will be much simpler. So yeah.

We have the Saliling family which we are working with. Their 2 sons were never baptized, so we are teaching them. Aljune really wants to come to church however it's hard cause we don't have full support from the family. They are a bit inactive. So yeah. But it's all good. We are focusing on him.

I have learned somthing of great importance this week. I thought how can I be a better leader in the mission. I listened to the talk from Elder Uchdorf, "Lift Where You Stand". When he spoke, I really learned what it means to magnify your calling. Callings are given from the Lord and not by anyone else. Whom the Lord calls, he qualifies. There is something we must understand; that sometimes we may be worthy and able to be something more, but the Lord doesn't need you there at that time, he needs you where he has called you. He needs you to fulfill your calling as best as you can where you have been placed.

The secret to fulfilling your calling is simple. We must follow the example of Christ. We must give a full charitable service. Not for the praise of man but to show how much we love the Lord. We must stand together and lift where we stand it's not a one man show. It's all of us focusing to the purpose of the Lord. There is something I've learned here. If you want to have success as a missionary, catch the vision of the mission president and run with it. In order to do this we must understand the purpose of the Lord. "It is my work and my glory to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man". When we understand this, we give all we have because we love our brothers and sisters. We wont let them fall. I know that this is key to fulfilling our calling. I know the Lord loves us and have given us his servant President Monson and his counselors and all leaders of his church for our benefit. I love you all and hope that we all can understand the purposes of God and fulfill our purpose!
