Week 96...Wow!

This week has been a very special week in Bacolod Zone. We had 13 baptisms! This has been a first for this zone. The heart of the mission has been one of the weakest zones in the mission. But over the last few transfers it has changed. With some training, and example of leaders we are having some great success. The Lord is pouring out his spirit on not only the zone but the stake as well. We had a correlation meeting with the Stake President yesterday. The first thing he told us was thank you for our work. Last time we spoke with him we told him where are efforts are, that is, updating the records, cleaning out the systems, finding members that have been lost, and bringing them back. Ordaining the un-ordained and completing the incomplete. When they saw the improvement in the quarterly report they were shocked. The average attendance was around 13%. Well this last quarter it jumped to 21% just from cleaning record. And these records have much more to be updated.

There's so much we can do with all these records it's amazing. We will never run out of things to do here. The next thing we said was that we would need Ward Mission Leaders. (the wards currently aren't proactive in this part of the work) Well The stake president said we will be setting up a training for all of these WMLs. His councilor said we will need you there. So this is great. The stake is now on our side and we will be able to work with them. Man its a great time to be in Philippines Bacolod Mission! The coolest part of my weeks was my opportunity to give someone the gift of Holy Ghost! An 18 year old who has waited for a very long time to be baptized since his parents wouldn't let him. Brother Carlo. It was amazing i was nervous as can be. But when i laid my hands on his head i knew the ordinance that was taking place was real and he now has the companionship of the Holy Ghost. Its a great week. and i love the work. Still so much to do, but so little time. I love you all and hope you're doing well!!
