Week 86... Doctrines of the Priesthood.

This week was a great week. Great studies great work. Great people. I've really come to love these people. I wrote in my journal the other night, and for the first time in my mission, I was able to write I love these people and say it with a true Christ-like love. It's a good feeling to know that because of Christ's love, we are redeemed. His example is eternal and we will need to follow it into the eternities.

This week I learned something so so important. It was about the doctrines of the priesthood.

D&C 121: 45 Let thy bowels also be full of charity towards all men, and to the household of faith, and let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly; then shall thy confidence wax strong in the presence of God; and the doctrine of the priesthood shall distil upon thy soul as the dews from heaven.
46 The Holy Ghost shall be thy constant companion, and thy scepter an unchanging scepter of righteousness and truth; and thy dominion shall be an everlasting dominion, and without compulsory means it shall flow unto thee forever and ever.

What a blessing to know that if we follow Christ and obtain these blessings. Standing before God without guilt. With a strong confidence. Knowing you served with all your heart might mind and strength. Priesthood holders must learn to stand taller and do what the Lord is expecting of us to do. I pray that as we strive to stand taller and exercise our priesthood that we will know the plan and fulfill just as Jesus Christ did. He spend 40 days and nights fasting just so he could come to understand the greatness of his calling. "Hence many are called yet few are chosen"

I know that as we stand taller and lift where we stand we will be confirmed that Heavenly Father is pleased with your efforts and we will come to understand our purpose even more. I love you all and pray that we will stand taller! and let Virtue garnish our thoughts, words deeds so that we may stand with confidence before the Lord when that time comes. The priesthood has been restored through Joseph Smith. The Lord has revealed the doctrine which brings salvation to the human soul. Because of the priesthood which has been entrusted to us we shall one day will have an everlasting dominion, if we hold faithful and allow virtue to garnish our thoughts. I love you all and hope you had a great week!!!
