Week 93... A Calling To Come.

Hello everyone. This was a good week, a week of changes. I did get to stay another transfer here in Magsungay.  So that is way nice. I'll be here 6 months. Hopefully I'll get another transfer after that and just finish off here. The ward here has grown so much and as we have given our efforts to help, it's grown so much. Although, there are still challenges, we now have a new plan of action that we talked about with bishop yesterday. We will just go back to basics, focusing on those that are willing to return, those that are coming, and strengthening what we've got. There's no point in building on a broken foundation.

We have found a brother that lives by bishop that has been inactive for a couple years. We finally were able to teach him. It's a cool story. We were working, and we were trying to find a guy. Well he pretty much just hid from us. And the whole time, while people were saying he's here and there, I just knew he was hiding. So we just left. haha. He lives there, we will see him another day. And so, we had a bit of time, not much to do. We had exhausted our plan. So I felt that we should try brother Berjes. He was there and let us right in. We shared with him a scripture in Moroni, chapter 9. Our discussion was about the work and everything. He missed it. I felt inspired to share this scripture.

"And now, my beloved son, notwithstanding their hardness, let us labor diligently; for if we should cease to labor, we should be brought under condemnation; for we have a labor to perform whilst in this tabernacle of clay, that we may conquer the enemy of all righteousness, and rest our souls in the kingdom of God."

This set the tone for the rest of the lesson, and he commited to come to church on Sunday.  When we went back on Sunday, we also committed him to baptize his 10 year old daughter on the 29th of October! He showed up to church gave the opening prayer in sacrament and is ready to come back to activity. We suggested to bishop that we prepare him to become the new elder's quorum president. This will be a great blessing for him and the ward. He is a good man who just lost sight of the light.

We are all on a road of curves and dark roads. But regardless of what road we take there's always a way to a brighter road, a brighter road that leads to eternal life and exaltation in the kingdom of our Heavenly Father and His Son,  Jesus Christ. We will all have our trials and "mist of darkness" come our way. But when they come if we are built on Christ's rock, we shall not be overtaken. We will stand tall giving our all the be excellent. I pray that we can see the light in the end. That we can show our faith in Christ and continue seeking the good. Let us all stand together labor diligently and be what our Father in Heaven wants us to be, that we may rest our souls in the kindom of God having conquered the enemy of righteousness!
